Salt
SALT is an intimate dance- theatre work exploring grief as a shared physical experience- a tidal force moving through women’s bodies.
7:30pm Saturday 4th July, 2026.
Created by Noa Rotem in collaboration with performers Colleen Coy, Taheli Teram and Laine Tracey, the work unfolds through a raw and deeply physical performance language shaped by the body’s instinct toward wholeness and return.
Part lament, part physical howl to the unspeakable realms of our lives, SALT invites audiences into a collective act of witnessing, connection and care.
At its core is a remembering of the fragile sweetness of staying human, together.
Following a sold-out work-in-progress showing in 2025, SALT returns to the Drill Hall for another public sharing of this evolving work.
This work-in-progress showing invites audiences into a living stage of the work’s development- allowing the piece to deepen through continued performance, reflection and exchange with audiences.
Please note:
SALT is currently an unfunded independent project. All artists have contributed substantial unpaid labour to the development of the work to date. Funds raised through this event will go directly toward artist fees and supporting the continued development of the project.
Where possible, choosing a higher-priced ticket helps directly support artist fees and the continued development of this independent work.

★★★★ "You will literally laugh for an hour. And that is a rare thing. Vanessa is more relaxed and direct behind a comedy mic than anyone I have seen" - The Scotsman
★★★★"You know when you go out to a club with a group of girlfriends and the handbags are thrown down, and you're dancing all night completely carefree as if the rest of the world don't exist, and you only stop to rest over a few drinks with teeny umbrellas, and there's always that one friend that is side-splittingly funny and holds court all evening? Yep, that's exactly what Vanessa Larry Mitchell's one-woman show feels like" - Mindshare
